For players diving back into Path of Exile 2, the improved dodge roll system makes for POE2 Currency a smoother and more rewarding experience. While the game’s difficulty remains high, these changes show GGG’s willingness to evolve core mechanics in response to player needs.
Whether you're navigating dense map layouts, facing off against swarms of enemies, or managing currency trades mid-fight, better movement control enhances every aspect of gameplay. Keep rolling—and now, with fewer frustrations.
Skill Nerfs in Path of Exile 2 Spark Calls for Character Respec Options
As Path of Exile 2 evolves through its Early Access phase, developer Grinding Gear Games (GGG) continues to fine-tune balance across the board. One major area of focus is the power level of certain skills. While regular adjustments are expected in a complex ARPG like Path of Exile 2, recent nerfs—especially to popular abilities—have ignited debate in the community. Chief among the concerns is the lack of a full character respec option, which many players feel is urgently needed in the face of these changes.
The Nerf to Raging Spirits
A standout example is the nerf to the Summon Raging Spirits skill, which had become a dominant choice for minion builds. Prior to the update, players could summon numerous spirits with a single cast, overwhelming enemies with an army of fire-based allies.
The update changed that dynamic drastically:
Players are now limited to five spirits per cast, regardless of gem level.
Spirits can no longer be summoned from triggered Fire Skills, removing key automation setups.
GGG cited balance as the main reason behind the nerf. The skill was outperforming others in terms of safety and damage, especially in early and mid-game content. While the adjustment aims to increase build variety, it also invalidates a number of established builds players had invested in.
The Need for a Full Respec Option
Following the nerfs, many players voiced their frustration about the lack of an accessible, full respec system. In Path of Exile 2, passive points and skill tree investments are designed to be long-term choices. While some respec points can be earned through quests or Orb of Regret items, they are limited and can’t easily support an overhaul of POE 2 Chaos Orbs an entire build.
